I loved this place! I had nothing but fun the entire time. The staff is great, the bar downstairs is awesome, it was pretty clean and I felt safe. I would recommend this to anyone!

Great hostel, friendly staff. Was great having a bar below our hostel with some local beers! Great value for money, all around very happy. Wifi didn't work though which was disappointing as this was advertised

this hostel was absolutely filthy. in the time we stayed there the bathroom was not cleaned once despite there being poo completely up the walls and vomit clogging the sink. apart from this the whole place stank including the environment. lucky brugge is such a beautiful place it made up for it!

The best thing about this hostel is the bar which is always crowded with cool people. Rooms are very small. Some of them don't even have beds, just matresses. Showers are the worst part. No hot water and all, and you have to put your finger on the button and keep it all the time while showering so you can have only one hand free. Also, I wouldn't recommend this hostel to people who want to sleep a lot, 'cause it's very noisy until the very morning. I had a lot of fun there, but wouldn't stay longer than two nights if they don't fix the shower facilities which are the worst thing about this hostel. Oh, yeah, and the fact that they only have one or two keys per room, so you have to share them with other people in the room. No lockers, also.

Excellent bar, very friendly, bit of a labyrinth inside (and I smacked my head off a very low set of stairs on the way back from the bar), but on the whole a very sociable stay.

In comparison to other hostels Charlie rockets was not good value for money. Wifi was down our whole stay, no laundry facilities, breakfast wasn't included in the price, more expensive than rival hostels and the worst thing was they wouldn't even pour me a glass of tap water at the downstairs bar unless I bought a beer or an overpriced soft drink.

All the negative reviews on here are justified. The only thing this hostel has going for it is the location to the main square. Staff are rude and nonchalant- the hostel reception is also a bar so priorities were definitely with bar customers despite the bar being half empty at the time. There is only one key per room so you have to hand it on your way out. Shower in room sprayed against the same wall. Ok if you're only staying for one night - don't bother if you're there any longer.

Cool hostel with a 50s rock theme, bar and pool tables, only a couple minutes walk from main Brugge square. They have a curfew of 4:30am, which I broke and they were not happy so be careful with that. The staff was less than helpful, although we did meet Charlie himself who was very nice. I'd stay here again though given its location and an atmosphere that caters to the young.

The reception is a BAR you can get your keys and a tasty Belgian beer at the same time ;)

The spot was perfect, close to every main thing in Bruges. The night time bartenders were much more friendly than the girls working during the day, who could hardly be bothered to look in your direction. The atmosphere was fun downstairs, and I ended up with great roommates here. The shower was a bit of a pain though having to hold down a button continually for the water to come out. Makes taking a quick shower virtually impossible.
